The last new moon of 2013

December 2, 2013 -

Things have been going pretty well around here. So well that I decided not to skip the last full moon of 2013. Here is Figure 9 depicting that the delta-v on a return trip from the moon is actually less than the trip there. It is entirely possible to get from the moon to ground on earth with ‘zero’ delta-v. That is, if you have some sort of rail-gun magnetic launch system, and you use aerobraking.

I’ve been getting some questions recently and I might be making some changes to the FAQ soon. If you would like to contribute just lump your email into Or contact me any other way you choose.

Some feedback has indicated that I’m somehow ‘anti-mars’. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Without giving anything in the book away (before it’s publish-versioned) There will be a lot more on Mars later on, and a little on Jupiter (my personal destination).
