The last new moon of 2013

December 2, 2013 -

Things have been going pretty well around here. So well that I decided not to skip the last full moon of 2013. Here is Figure 9 depicting that the delta-v on a return trip from the moon is actually less than the trip there. It is entirely possible to get from the moon to ground on earth with ‘zero’ delta-v. That is, if you have some sort of rail-gun magnetic launch system, and you use aerobraking.

I’ve been getting some questions recently and I might be making some changes to the FAQ soon. If you would like to contribute just lump your email into questions@colonize-the-moon.com. Or contact me any other way you choose.

Some feedback has indicated that I’m somehow ‘anti-mars’. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Without giving anything in the book away (before it’s publish-versioned) There will be a lot more on Mars later on, and a little on Jupiter (my personal destination).
